Ladies – Come fish with us in Guatemala at the Casa Vieja Lodge April 10 – 15.

Thank you for your interest in Marlin University!

This Marlin U will pair female anglers with the top female professionals in the industry for the ultimate learning experience! Whether you’re looking to take your first-ever swing at a billfish or fine-tune your angling technique, these ladies are ready to help.

"I was amazed at how much I learned from the first day on the boats. I had personally never hooked my own billfish, but by the end of the third day, I had hooked and reeled in 9 out of 12. I have so much more to learn, and this opportunity gave me the confidence to know I can do this." —DQ, Fort Pierce, Florida

"These ladies all had a common goal to not only learn proper angling skills but also gain the confidence to hook, fight and release a billfish all on their own. In their accomplishments, they will always remember the details, and as a teacher, to be part of that lifetime memory is the reward; I was so proud of each and every one of them." —Capt. Jen Copeland

Another Central American jewel, Guatemala enjoys the reputation of being the Sailfish Capital of the World. Guatemala’s almost nonstop action makes it the perfect place to get comfortable and confident with your angling skills.

Students are met at the Guatemala Airport by a Marlin University representative and then travel by group to the Casa Vieja Lodge. We take a one-and-a-half hour scenic drive from Guatemala City to Iztapa and view beautiful farms, forests and active volcanoes safely in the distance.
